Sunday night about an hour drive north of me all the big names in Hollywood will have their annual get together inside The Kodak Theater. Several people will see their lives change dramatically both socially and financially. The winners will automatically jump on to the “A” guest list in tinsel town and I don’t think anyone can put a dollar value on winning one of those little gold statues but one would have to believe it is worth millions in future parts and endorsements. This will be my 13th year of picking the winners in the top five categories and I am very proud of my 39 of 60 (65%) winning percentage especially since I am not much of a moviegoer. The only movie up for best picture this year that I have seen is Slumdog Millionaire and I have to say it deserves the 1 to 2 favoritism that our friends over at America’s Line have slapped on it. Below I will list the nominees in the Best Movie, Best Actor and Actress as well as the best supporting actress and actor categories with America’s current odds to win each respective category.
